  • Building or Shelter are available for Rent

    If you reside in the Lowgap Community you can rent the Lowgap Community Center Building or Shelter for Birthday Parties, Reunions, or Fund-raisers.

      At no time is Alcohol or Drug Consumption permitted on the property of Lowgap Community Center.

What We Do

We are a community based center that houses the local library, (an extension of the North West Regional libraries)  baseball fields, athletics for all ages, as well as several annual musical events. 

We are very proud of our heritage in this area and we are working diligently to develop a mini museum on site. 

Deep in our tradition as well, our musical endeavors are rich in Bluegrass.  Please feel free to read on to learn more about our center as well as our upcoming events!!!!!

Activiities for you and your family:

Walking track: Aproximately 3 laps makes a mile...come out and enjoy the views of our beautiful mountain range while getting heart healthy!

Basketball: Men's basketball is seasonally available inside, however we have an outdoor, half court that is available on a first come first serve basis.

Men's basketball is each Tuesday night @7:30pm & Sunday afternoon, call Dewayne Ramey for more info.

 Karate:  Monday and Thursday evenings--7PM to 8:30 PM,  Provided by Carolina Martial Arts, instructors Tony Harrison & David Stanley

Library:  Open Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, housed in the front of the Community Center.  Special activities are planned for each Thursday in June

Baseball is ongoing, with each season

Musical events are on going: 

Our main events of each year are, the Pikin on the Front Porch  and our Family Jubilee, on the first weekend of November.
